Health-tech company Collective Minds Radiology raises SEK 25M to improve digital collaboration within specialist healthcare

2021-01-25

Collective Minds Radiology raises 2,5MEURO from Brightly Ventures and Skincity founders Mikael and Annica Forsgren Kjellman. Existing owners such as Antaros Invest, Crista Galli Ventures, and business angels are also participating in the oversubscribed round. Collective Minds is developing a cloud-based healthcare collaboration service focusing on medical imaging. The funding will be used for continued European expansion and preparation for a global introduction.

Collective Minds is developing a cloud-based platform where doctors, researchers and industry can collaborate across national borders to help patients to the right diagnosis, as well as develop healthcare with improved clinical studies and digital interactive education. Today, 50 hospitals and more than 2,000 doctors are connected to the service. Collective Minds has its commercial and clinical management in Stockholm and product development based in Barcelona.

The ongoing pandemic in the past year has highlighted the need for collaboration and exchange of experiences between hospitals and specialists, which has driven interest in Collective Mind’s innovative technology.

“During the past year, we have seen very strong growth of doctors and care providers who use our services. We have partnered with both private companies and larger university hospitals in several European countries. We are proud and happy about the trust we have received from Brightly and other investors. We are now taking the next steps towards our goal of creating a global service where medical expertise and experience are gathered ” Anders Nordell, CEO, and co-founder, Collective Minds Radiology.

The funding will be used for continued technology development, expansion of the team, expansion in Europe, and preparations for a global launch.

“Radiologists around the world have a great need to collaborate, which requires a good digital platform. Digitalization within healthcare has just begun and the founders of Collective Minds have the experience and skills required to digitize and fundamentally change this industry. We are very pleased to be able to support the company in its exciting journey to revolutionize the medical imaging workflow”, says John Elvesjö, Managing Partner at Brightly Ventures.
